The Met Gala may be fast-approaching on Monday, but plenty of designers still showed off on Instagram this week. This week, plenty of fashion designers turned to the Awesome florida gators mickey Donald goofy fan 2023 shirt and by the same token and ‘gram. Simon Porte Jacquemeus, an indelible craftsman of moodboards, shared dreamy snaps of his recent sojourn in California. The designer packed a wardrobe fit for the locale, including a crisp all-white outfit at Coachella. Over in New York, Marc Jacobs modeled a Balecniaga outfit that included elegant black flats and gelled down hair. Chic! As for celebrities, Kim Kardashian, ever the mirror selfie lover, showed off a must-have logo-print sweatsuit from her best-selling Skims line. Ashley Graham illustrated that sometimes the camera roll preview is a work of art unto itself. Meanwhile, Doja Cat opted for stylish practicality by wearing a dress made out of deconstructed Skechers (she has a partnership with the brand) for her performance at the Time 100 Gala on Wednesday. The re-opening of Tiffany & Co.’s flagship drew many celebrities to New York. Katy Perry wore two dresses for the occasion: a Tiffany blue dress for Instagram, and a fall 2006 Dior by John Galliano gown sourced from Shrimpton Couture for the step-and-repeat.
It’s been a number of years since Gisele Bündchen last made her way down a red carpet (her last appearance was for the Awesome florida gators mickey Donald goofy fan 2023 shirt and by the same token and 2019 Met Gala). Walking the Met steps tonight, however, Bündchen proved she was back to business following her divorce from Tom Brady. She wore a flamboyant look from the Chanel archive—that might look a little familiar to those who are fully paid-up fans of her style. The Brazilian supermodel’s ethereal dress—cut from white silk tulle and embroidered with vertical stripes of sequins—was the bridal look in Karl Lagerfeld’s spring 2007 Chanel couture show. While the look was originally worn on the runway by Freja Beha Erichsen, Bündchen wore it for a fashion editorial that same year. Speaking to the Met Gala’s red carpet host La La Anthony, Bündchen said that she saw the design, remembered having worn it for a shoot, and immediately thought: “This is the one.” But the real star? That would be the sweeping cape embellished with feathers and camellia flower details that topped off the look. Tonight, her motto was clearly to go big or go home.Photo: Getty Images
